Candice White has been supporting GRC clients in Customer Support and Project Management roles since 2008, part of her two decades of experience working with nonprofits and associations.
She provides consistent management on Acquisition, Appeal, and Renewal programs.

Candice is a native Virginian, growing up in nearby Warrenton. She enjoys spending time with her twin boys, as well as her two grandchildren. She also enjoys reading and taking walks in her beautiful, small-town community.
Sushma Gupta is a co-founder of Grassroot Communication and serves as the firm’s VP of New Client Outreach and Public Relations.
Sushma focuses on cultivating new relationships and ensuring the firm’s presence is known and felt within the communities it serves. She is always ready for a conversation with a smile and truly enjoys meeting and working with people in supporting them in their long term goals. She also manages all human resources-related aspects for the GRC team.
Sushma Received her law degree from Delhi University, India after studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics at an undergraduate level. She loves reading, writing and practicing yoga . She has awesome friends who enjoy similar activities with her. She enjoys being a Grandmother and is totally in love with her 6 year old Granddaughter!
With over two decades of experience in the web and digital worlds, Michelle’s background in graphic design and marketing are the ideal foundation for her current role as director of digital strategy. Michelle leverages social media to help clients engage and resonate with their target audiences. In addition to serving external clients, she plays a key role in driving Grassroot Communication's digital media outreach. A graphic designer by training, Michelle moved into UI and web design and has evolved into a social media expert by supporting a number of organizations as both an employee and through her full-service agency experience. Michelle in 1996 won the first Gold Clio Award for a Web site for L'eggs pantyhose and Leggs.com. Michelle has Bachelor of Arts from Marymount University, and lives in Fauquier County, Virginia, where she serves as a volunteer for several local nonprofit organizations. While she loves her community, she works from the beach as often as she can.
Arvind Gupta is the President of Grassroot Communication (GRC) as well as one of the company’s founders. Launched in 1986 as a small copy shop , the company has evolved into a hybrid of a full service print/graphic design/production facility and marketing agency that specializes in serving membership and fundraising organizations.
Arvind has spent the last 25 years working primarily with fundraising organizations to help them maximize their individual donor funding. His vast expertise spans the print-production and marketing outreach areas, including direct-response marketing, fundraising, membership acquisition and retention, recordation/financial reconciliation, and reporting. He is also experienced at developing data-driven strategies to drive campaigns. His experience extends to organizational administration as well. He has created, implemented and monitored performance of annual budgets, including revenue and expense projections and evaluation metrics.
Arvind earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Delhi University and an MBA from BHU-UP. Arvind has served on the board of several non -profits, including Marg Foundation and Be Happy. Arvind enjoys hiking, gardening and is an avid reader. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and business partner Sushma.
